What's this all about?

Fact

1. How things are in the world.
2. A particular state of affairs.
3. A single item of information.
4. A situation without reference to context.
   

In stating a fact we are dividing the set of all possible worlds into two groups, i.e.,

• those in which what the fact states is the case and those in which what the fact states is not the case, or
• those that fit the description and those that don't;
